Terms of Service
By accessing or using RiffHunter at riffhunter.com, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The service
RiffHunter is a metal music discovery feed that uses Spotify's Web API and Web Playback SDK to play tracks from your own Spotify account. It is provided as a free, invite-only beta. RiffHunter is operated personally by Asaf Bord and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Spotify.
2. Eligibility
To use RiffHunter you must:
- Be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age required in your jurisdiction).
- Hold an active Spotify Premium account. Free Spotify accounts cannot use the Web Playback SDK.
- Have been added to RiffHunter's invite list by the operator.
- Comply with the Spotify Developer Terms of Service and the Spotify End User Agreement.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to:
- Use RiffHunter only for personal, non-commercial listening.
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service or its API usage.
- Not use RiffHunter to violate any law or any third-party rights.
- Not use RiffHunter in any way that could disable, overburden, or impair Spotify's services.
We may remove your access at any time, for any reason, including by removing you from the invite list, without notice or refund.
4. No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your needs.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator(s) of RiffHunter shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the service.
6. Third-party services
RiffHunter relies entirely on Spotify to deliver music. Your use of Spotify is governed by Spotify's own terms and policies. If Spotify changes, suspends, or removes any of the APIs or capabilities RiffHunter depends on, parts of the service may stop working, and we may not be able to fix that.
7. Intellectual property
All music, artwork, and metadata accessed through RiffHunter belong to Spotify, the labels, and the artists. RiffHunter does not host, redistribute, or own any of this content. The RiffHunter name and logo are the property of the operator.
8. Termination
You may stop using RiffHunter at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time without notice or liability. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (no warranty, limitation of liability, governing law) will do so.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Tel Aviv, Israel.
